At character creation, players get one-handed free alongside dagger. A player cannot gain other weapon skills until it is learnt from a player or NPC with the skill and “Teach”. Stab safe weapons (swords and spears) are allowed. All weapons must be checked before play.
D A G G E R
Free skill: Use of a blade under 18”.
O N E - H A N D E D
Free skill: A one-handed weapon is a weapon between 18” to 43” inches long including axes, hammers and blades. A one handed weapon can be used with or without shield as long as this skill is taken. One-handed weapons do one point of damage.
S H I E L D
Allows Player the use of a shield. Maximum shield measurements are 55” tall/diameter.
Shields can become damaged and will need to be repaired or replaced – Two handed weapons can break shields in 3 hits, after which it is useless and a new one needs to be made.
The same vis-rep can be used.
Shields can also be used with pole arms under 72" (6ft). Shield must be less than 30 inches wide.
T W O - H A N D E D
A two handed weapon is a weapon between 44” to 72” inches long. This includes axes, bladed hammers. If you are hit by a two-handed weapon then you are staggered or flung.
Two-handed weapons do two points of damage.
Two-handed weapons can break shields in 3 hits.
P O L E A R M
A pole arm is a weapon between 48” to 84” inches long, including spears or staff.
Pole arms do one point of damage.
Only pole arms which are less than 72" (6ft) may be used with a shield.
B O W S & C R O S S B O W
Bows must have poundage under 30 for safety reasons. All bow users, crew and player, must undergo a comp test for safety. Shots from a bow ignore armour.
Bows must not be fired at someone at full draw at less than 5 meters. A single shot does 1 point of damage and ignores armour.
Bows must not be shot at someone at point blank range.
T H R O W I N G W E A P O N S
Permits the use of throwing weapons. Throwing weapons must be coreless, soft and less than 10 inches in length.
A M B I D E X T E R I T Y
Ambidexterity allows the use of 2 daggers or one handed weapons at once. Ambidexterity can only be taken if player has already taken one-handed.
E X T R A H I T S
Extra hits can be earned through strict training with a mentor. At the moment, players can only gain one extra hit, bringing them to 3 hits per location without armour instead of the standard 2.
