Erda's Magic System. Casting wyrd (or in this case, having wyrd cast at you!)
Casting wyrd is a magical art currently only given to those held in the highest regard of the gods.
Spells are reeled off in long powerful speeches and the length dictates the power of the spell. Those who are spell casting must describe clearly the effects during the spell and point at any target(s) they wish their magic to find.
